Public relations, social media and word of mouth
UK still not online savvy?
Ian Delaney has an interesting post about the results of a new ‘The 21st Century Digital Consumer’ survey (PDF) from Nielsen NetRatings. The survey showed that the majority of those polled have ‘never heard of’ lots of new internet and home entertainment technology. For example 70% have never heard of wikis and 67% have never heard of RSS.
But what’s far more interesting is to turn the figures around. I’m amazed that 30% have heard of wikis, 33% have heard of RSS. It definitely doesn’t have any relationship to the people I talk to where the figures would be even worse.
