Just a quick alert to two fantastic PR and marketing events that I’m speaking at later this month:

Marketing Leaders’ Masterclass | 21 April | Leeds

A rare opportunity for me to do something in Leeds. The Marketing Leaders’ Masterclass has been put together by John McCambley and is being attended by some of the top PR and marketing professionals from across the north of England from companies such as Superdry, Asda, Morrisons, Irwin Mitchell, Premier Farnell, Cooperative Group, Shop Direct, Victoria Plumb, Wilko and Provident Financial. It’s being hosted at the headquarters of global branding and design agency Elmwood.

Back to the Future of Comms is a warm-up event for MyNewsDesk’s FutureComms15. I’ll be speaking alongside the incredibly witty and insightful Jon Morter who came to fame in 2009 for his successful campaign to get Rage Against the Machine as the Christmas number one instead of yet another X-Factor winner. Today he’s the brains behind the Condescending Corporate Brand page on Facebook, which provides an endless source of case studies for me to use in my modernised PR training courses – examples of what not to do! After we’ve done our stuff (although I’m not sure how I’m meant to compete with Jon – he’ was on Channel 4’s Big Fat Quiz of the Year!) there is a panel debate with me, Jon, Robert Rose (Content Marketing Institute), Emma Hart (former head of PR at O2), Janaka Abeywardhana (founder of content marketing system Agoraa) and digital marketing consultant Adam Cranfield (former head of marketing at MyNewsDesk).
